C-Section and Scar Release Therapy

Scar Release Therapy (SRT) Treatment

Scars are common for many of us, found in various forms such as surgical scars, broken bones, sprained joints, torn muscles, and areas affected by trauma. Over time, we all develop scars that can negatively impact our physical wellbeing.

Scar Release Therapy (SRT) is a clinically tested and proven solution designed to address the adverse effects of scars. SRT is a simple, painless and affordable treatment therapy that effectively reduces the negative influences of scar tissue within just a few sessions!

Scars and associated adhesions can compress nerves, disrupt muscle function, alter energy flow, and impede blood and lymph circulation
in the affected areas. This innovative treatment provides numerous benefits, including:

  • Accelerating the healing process of scars

  • Reducing chronic pain in connective tissue

  • Promoting relaxation and fading appearance of scar tissue

How does Scar Release Therapy Work?

The SRT technique involves the simultaneous application of a safe, low-level electrical impulse to each side of the physical scar. This microcurrent aids in relaxing and diminishing scar tissue, which can hinder the proper functioning of muscles and fascia,
as well as contribute to discomfort.

Treatment accelerates the healing journey by alleviating restrictions and adhesions within the connective tissue. The physical healing enables individuals to resume or continue activities such as lifting, walking, exercising, and caring for their infants with reduced discomfort.

The number of sessions required depends on the depth and healing capacity of the scar. We will provide further guidance and evaluation during your intake appointment.

We are capable of effecting visible changes in the appearance and mobility of scars within a the first treatment session — no matter the age of the scarring. Commonly treated scars include those resulting from breast augmentation, reduction, or mastectomy, cesarean sections, removal of deep moles or skin lesions, facelifts, trauma scars and various other types of scars.

What is a Scar Release Therapy session?

Our certified Scar Release Therapy practitioner will apply the Dolphin MPS units directly to the scar, with each session lasting from 15-30 minutes. (This depends on the surface area being treated.) Scar tissue & adhesions can be released in as little as 3 visits, and usually have drastic improvement in appearance, color, soreness, and tissue mobility of the within 1-3 sessions.

Packages of 3 and 6 SRT Sessions are available. All SRT sessions include complimentary Infrared Heat and PEMF Therapy!

C-Section Scar

Release Therapy

C-Section Scar Release Therapy (SRT) addresses both chronic pain and dermal scarring that can occur after surgery. It enhances the skin's inter-cellular metabolism, protein synthesis, and healing processes. By reactivating the skin's natural ability to regenerate, SRT offers a comprehensive solution for scar reduction and improved skin health.

SRT is a proven solution for scar reduction, effectively minimizing both the shape and size of scars. Here in the United States, approximately 1.3 million C-section surgeries are performed annually, making it one of the most common surgical procedures.
However, these scars can lead to various health complications.

Research has demonstrated that C-section scars can have detrimental effects on the body. These scars can restrict the fascia, muscles, nerves, bones, organs, and various systems, leading to a constraining effect on overall body structure. This restriction can impede circulation and energy flow, potentially compromising health and wellness. Additionally, scars may trigger an up-regulation of the sympathetic nervous system, acting as stressors that contribute to an environment conducive to illness and discomfort.

All of these factors contribute to the development of pain and disease. It is not surprising that scientific literature has established a correlation between Chronic Post-Surgical Pain (CPSP), back pain, shoulder pain and neuropathic pain with cesarean sections.

Clinical Evidence for Scar Release Therapy

In a recently published study, only a small percentage off the chronic pain experienced by patients was localized at the scar site (10%), with 80-90 % of chronic pain experienced by the suffering patient distant or far-removed from the from C-Section site. (OGN 2019).

The study showed 40% of C-Sections experienced chronic back pain with 20% of C-sections experiencing neck and shoulder pain.
